Promoting Medicinal Plants Cultivation

To promote the traditional healthcare systems of India like Ayurveda, which have no adverse side effects and are affordable to the people, we have supported tribal people to cultivate medicinal plants outside forest areas in Wayanad, Kerala.

Setting up Home Herbal Gardens

We have promoted setting up of Home Herbal Gardens in National Capital Territory of Delhi. The programme was started in July 2020 with the planting of thousands of medicinal plants in the homes of people in the Malaviya Nagar area of Delhi and provision of about 5000 medicinal plants to the flat-owners of Type-IV Apartments in East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi. We are thankful to the Delhi Parks and Garden Society, Department of Environment, Government of India for the provision of medicinal plant saplings. We are planning to expand this programme with the possible support of the National Medicinal Plants Board.
