GREEN INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (GIRD) is a non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered under the Societies Registration Act (Act No. XXI of 1860) Established in 1996, GIRD works for the protection of environment and promotion of environment-friendly products and practices. Recognizing an essential conflict between the protection of environment and the developmental needs of the people, we also undertake programmes for socio-economic development of the disadvantaged sections of the people, particularly in the areas of education, health and nutrition, housing, sanitation and economic empowerment and advocate sustainable developmental goals.

Dr K.P. Hareendran Achari is an eminent educationist and socail worker. He is the Director and Principal of Wisdom Public Schools, established for the educational progress of disadvantaged sections of society.
Dr S.K. Singh is the Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. He formerly headed Department of Environment Engineering Delhi Technological University. He is a visionary academician and a reputed scholar who has made significant contributions in the field of science and engineering. He has been engaged in teaching, research, administration and consultancy for the last 34 years.
Mr. Shamsuddeen is an eminent environmental activist, agriculturist, promoter of organic farming and proudcts.
Prof Mohd Muazzam, IES CPES Cadre (Retd.) held various positions in Govt of India. He was Administrator, National Green Tribunal (NGT). He set up branches of NGT in various states. He established Rajiv Gandhi National Museum of Natural History in Ranthambore. He was Director in Ministry of Power and Ministry of Water Resources and Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests
Mr Abdullah Nellikandy is an eminent social worker having associated with Rotary club and community action for the poor in the field education, health and welfare. He has world-wide experience in different projects
Prof. V. Subramanian retired Professor, School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Mentor, Department of Natural and Applied Sciences, TERI School of Advanced Studies. He is an eminent environmental scientist and has been associated with a number of international bodies.
Mr. Josemon is a social worker and environmntal activist and has been actively associated with many people’s movements.
Mr Subash Babu is an eminent educationist in the healthcare sector. Presently, he is Academic Director, PVS College of Nursing, PVS School of Nursing & PVS Language Academy. He is also Executive Member, Confederation of Health Science Colleges Management Association and Chief Executive Officer, FaBians Global.
