GIRD VOLUNTEERS PARTICIPATE IN THE CLEAN UP THE WORLD PROGRAMME 2018 AT DUBAI View Detail>>

GIRD has been organizing Indians in UAE to participate in the Clean up the World programme organized by the  Dubai Municipality every year from 2007.  This year (2018) also we mobilized about 200 volunteers for the Clean up the World Programme and our volunteers actively joined thousands of others in the clean up work.  This year’s theme of the programme has been “Beating the Plastic Hazard”

Electrical work 

Technical/vocational skills in electrical work, mainly in electrical equipment repair, electrical wiring, both in residential and commercial buildings for enhancing employability of young people who has studied up to matriculation or ceased pursuing education from the middle level.

Course:
Intensive theoretical and practical education and training of 8 to10 months, covering teaching (theory and practice) in electrical circuitry, design and making of electrical equipments, repairs works and electrical wiring.

Welding, plumping,  AC Repair

Technical education and training in welding, plumping, Air-conditioning installation, maintenance and repair for enhancing remunerative employability of young people who have ceased to pursue their formal education from the middle level

Course:
Intensive skill impartation and practical training for 8 to 10 months.

Carpentry & Masonry                                           

Imparting Skills and Training in Carpentry and masonry, including cabinet-making and brick-laying

Training in use of cutting-machines and in shaping steel as per design

Training in the use of “cutting machines” and reading simple designs and shaping steel according to the design Course duration

This will help especially the youth migrating to cities to be employed in remunerative works in construction sector
