Work for Rural India
As a Member of Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI), GIRD volunteers have organized in various parts of India action and campaign programmes covering a vast range of issues affecting the rural masses – strengthening farmer community, organizing Self Help Groups of farmers, women, reaching science and technology to rural India, community development, promoting primary education, health and sanitation, fighting malnutrition, promoting eco-friendly farming and manufacturing practices, etc.

Space congestion and other adverse effects of metropolitisation of Indian cities during globalisation process is wreaking havoc with ideal human ecologies necessary for achieving the realisation of educational, intellectual and creative potentials of vast sections of society migrating to city environs for educational and employment opportunities. GIRD has undertaken to intervene in this situation by building ideal Hostels for students and working women, especially to promote the interests of educationally and economically weaker sections of society like the Minorities, tribal peoples, and other disadvantages peoples, with the objective of providing a harmonious environment for them.

The emerging Project site of the expansion of roads & Runways at the Indira Gandhi International Air Port Giving threats to the human Life. At time three batch  mixing plants are operating & 2,3000 people are working  & everyday 5,0000 people are passing through the IGIA . The contractor of the Project Violating all the Environmental Rules & regulations of Air Act -1982 to Protect & Prevent the Pollution .  Even though they have Consent to Operate  & discharge license of the Batch plants , the emission of Particulate matter is much more than the  permissible Limits.  Crush the aggregate & mix  with the Bitumen  which emits & discharge  large quantity of dust into the environment which further cause Silicosis & Asthma . This impact further leads to black mark on the fast developing Indias Image .

Joint ambient Air Quality Monitoring is suggested by State Pollution Control Board , Central pollution Control Board , District Medical Officer & Deputy Commisioner & reputed NGO’s using the High Volume Sampler.
