UNEP-Clean the world 2007 in Dubai.
Clean Up The World Team at Dubai Municipality invited Mr.Shamsuddeen A.K. Secretary GIRD to participate in Clean UP The World 2007 Which held 20th November to 23rd November 2007Clean up the world environmental campaign which unites various communities around the world in clean ups of their respective local environment. This global caompaighnorganized by Clean up the World Pty Ltd (Australia) and is supported by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
Green Institute for Research and Development organized members Indian organization in Dubai and adjoing states of Dubai with the help of Indian Association in UAE and participated three days campaign with around 200 volunteers
Through these campaign and efforts we intend to:
- Increase volunteer levels in environment clean up campaigns.
- Enhance co- operations between various stakeholders to advance Environmental issues.
- Improve environmental awareness and emphasis the importance of reducing waste generation.
- 4 - Assist in neighborhood preservation by removing litter and debris
- 5 - Focus media attention on Environmental issues.
GIRD had awarded a certificate of appreciation on the occasion to recognize of sincere efforts and outstanding contrition to make “Clean up the world 2007” a grand success.

Republic Day Programme:
Orginised a function at wisdom Public School on 26th January 2008. Mr. Kumar, Director Ministry of Railways Presided the function and Dr. A Madhavan, Assistant Director, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution has flag hoisted.
Mr. Shamsuddeen AK Secretary GIRD delivered an inaugural speech.

A National Seminar 2008
GIRD organized a very important National Seminar on the subject of “Vehicular Pollution in Delhi after the Court’s Directions: An Assessment’ on February 26, 2008 at Exposition Hall, Delhi College of Engineering, Bawana Road, Delhi.
The Seminar was organized in coloration with the Delhi College of Engineering and was supported by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, Delhi Pollution Control Committee and the Punjab National Bank. About 200 delegates from all over India participated in the Seminar. The Seminar was held in three sessions, one inaugural session and two technical sessions. The papers presented in the Seminar by scholars in different fields relating to the subject matter put forward many important points regarding the process and effects of environmental pollution and the measures required to be taken to control and prevent vehicular pollution.
The deliberations in the Seminar on various issues and points raised by the paper-presenters threw up some recommendations to be brought before the concerned authorities. These recommendations were shaped in the form of Resolutions of the National Seminar and were submitted to concerned authorities in the Central as well as Delhi Government for consideration of appropriate action
